Overview: The EMBA program offered by Binghamton University is designed to teach management concepts and skills to individuals who are being asked to assume increasing levels of administrative and managerial responsibility. The curriculum is designed to maximize the efficiency of the learning process for students.
Program Format: Classes are taught on the Binghamton University campus in Binghamton, New York. Lecture and discussion, as well as group-work and case study methods are used. Class size is small, so students are given more individual attention.
Program Schedule: The weekend format of the EMBA program enables working professionals to receive their MBA degree within 21 months. Classes are offered on Fridays and Saturdays. The program begins in late August and runs through June of the following year. It starts again in late August and runs through May of the second year. The majority of classes will meet on a bi-weekly basis and are held on Fridays from 1 to 5:30 p.m., and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be a few exceptions however, including a new flex schedule during the second year. During the second year, participants are required to attend three full Fridays and Saturdays during designated weekends. For the other six scheduled class weekends, participants may choose to either attend the classes in person or via Telephone/Web interaction. These sessions will occur on Friday afternoons and Saturdays.

Class Profile: Applicants typically have at least seven years of professional work experience prior to entry into the EMBA program.
Admission Requirements: To be considered for admission to the EMBA program applicants must:
Have the endorsement of their employer. In addition, the participants will have at least an undergraduate degree, the potential to contribute to the program and to his/her cohorts, and be highly motivated.
The application requirements will include a completed copy of Binghamton University’s Graduate School Application, a copy of the applicant’s undergraduate transcript(s), two letters of recommendation, resume, a personal statement, and scores from the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) if applicable.
Application Deadlines: Applications for the EMBA program are taken on a rolling basis
